For someone who is one of Hollywood's most beautiful actresses and part of rock music royalty, Liv Tyler likes to keep a pretty low profile. Although at ten she may have been watching her father Steven Tyler's concerts from the wings, the Aerosmith heiress is now more likely to be found enjoying an afternoon in the part with her son Milo than hobnobbing with other A-listers.
On a hazy August afternoon in New York's West Village, Liv and her husband Royston Langdon and their one-year-old son Milo enjoyed a laid back al fresco lunch. But then again there aren't many starlets who could walk around without a scrap of make-up and look so stylish. Milo too seems keen to get ahead in the style stakes as he tried, on numerous occasions, to relieve his mother of her designer sunglasses and keep them for himself.
Clearly Liv and Royston get intense pleasure from their little outings near their trendy New York home. Indeed, Liv admits she's not at all showbiz: 'Life excites me. I'm not talking about appearing in movies or doing interviews, but just little, normal everyday things. Getting out of bed. Getting dressed. Making food. I find it all exciting!'
And as we can see from this family lunch, Liv isn't the sort to be surrounded by an entourage: 'I don't like a very posh life. There are no drivers waiting or people doing everything for me. I pretty much live like a normal person.' And we salute you for it, Liv!
