Off Topic / A Visit
« on: March 04, 2006, 07:29:17 PM »
Hey everyone!  How's it going?  Hope you all remember me  ;) .  Told you I would come back visiting! How are things going?  Wow, the forum hasn't changed at all except for some new newbies.  Even the topics are still the same! lol  :P .  Things have been going well with me.  School is nearly done and I'm damn busy with it.  Busy with that and with friends and other stuff.  Few more months and I'll have a foot in uni.  Taking international relations but I still want to be writer/musician.  Anyhow, howz everyone?  Anything exciting happened while I was gone?  I hope to have a talk with some of you.  Great to see you guys again  :D

Off Topic / Goodbye

Hey everyone, don't really know how to say this but I'm thinking about leaving the forum.  I haven't come one that recently this past year because of school and personal projects and other stuff.  Well, I think this place has sort of had its course for me.  I'm leaving not cause I don't like it anymore or cause I don't like you guys, hell no, I love you!  All of you and this place.  Its cause I won't really have much time to come on anymore and I just didn't want to disappear without anyone knowing why.  And also the fact that I'm sort of over Liv Tyler.  I still like her but I'm just not as big of a fan anymore as I used to be.  I've had some awesome times on this forum and I'll never forget it.  Thanx everyone, really.  You're an amazing bunch of people.  I've met some people which I don't think I would have ever met anywhere else.  And I've just had great times with all of you, from when this forum started all the way to now.  It sucks to leave but I didn't want to be rude and just disappear, lol.  Hope you'll understand.  I won't go off forever though.  I'll come back everyone once and a while to visit and see how things are going.  Well, I guess its a goodbye, for now.  I'll keep in touch with some of you through MSN as always and if anyone wants to keep in touch you can definitely add me there too or email me.  No problemo.  A really big thanx to the mods for making this amazing place.  Won't forget you guys.  I don't even know how to say how important this place has been for me, lol.  Stay well and till who knows when! lol

Big thanx again  :)

I was wondering if any of you have seen the new reality show on MTV with Travis Barker (drummer of blink 182)?  I downloaded the first episode and I thought it was great!  Its pretty funny.  I'm d-loading the second ep now.  He's such a talented drummer.  I always look up to him when playing.  He rocks :D.  And his 1 year old kid is so cool, lol.  He's already got a mowhawk and wears Rancid t-shirts :D

Help and Feedback / Stupid Front Page
« on: March 15, 2005, 04:54:37 PM »
I need some help with Front Page, if anyone knows how to use it.  I made a page and the page is divided into three frames.  The top frame is just for a banner-like thing I made for the site so its just a pic.  The one on the right is for the writing and the one on the left for some pics.  I wrote a bunch of stuff for the frame with all the writing on it and so naturally there's the little thing to scroll down the page but when it scrolls down it doesn't scroll down the whole entire thing.  Only the frame.  How can I change it so the whole entire thing scrolls down?

Pleazzzze? lol.  Please put a real name, it doesn't have to be yours, you can even make it up, but like no nicknames like *<frodo>* and stuff like that, lol :P.

 Here's the link

If you sign I'll go to each of your houses and give you a big hug  :D  :P

wow, I can't believe two years have passed since I joined this forum  :D !  Time really flies by.  This means that the forum has been around for two years too!  I've had a really great time here and this is definitely the best forum around on the web.  I wouldn't have met some of the best and most special people ever if it wasn't for this place  :D .  So thank again to the forum  and I hope it will be around for more years to come :shooter:!

Lord of the Rings / There And Back Again
« on: September 02, 2004, 08:48:58 AM »
Has anyone heard of Sean Astin's book on his experience on LOTR?  Its going to be out this autumn and its called "There And Back Again: An Actor's Tale"  :D .  Here's what I got from his official website:

Sean's candid account of his 24 years of professional acting experience culminating in The Lord of the Rings provides an unparalleled perspective. More than a companion guide to the Rings films, "There and Back Again" is filled with stories from the set about the actors and filmmakers who joined together to bring Tolkien's vision to life. It's an eye-opening tale told by a Hollywood veteran, of the blood, sweat and tears that went into the making of some of the most ambitious and successful films of all times.

It sounds really cool.  I'm definitely getting it  :D

Lord of the Rings / The Making Of The Fellowship Of The Ring
« on: July 19, 2004, 08:50:11 AM »
this is what it says on

Yesterday, at the Auckland International Film Festival, I got to see Costa Botes' documentary, "The Making of the Fellowship of the Ring," of footage never before released from behind the scenes of the LOTR filming. This documentary has been released for the NZ-based film festival only, and New Line Cinema asked that it have the caveat of being a "Work in Progress." Costa Botes, the filmmaker, was there to have a discussion with the audience after the film was shown.

it sounds great  :D .  Too bad they are never going to release it (maybe).  There's also one section on Liv:

There was a great section where we got to see Viggo Mortenson sneaking off to the side of one set to cast a few trout flies, and a long section showing Liv Tyler filming the flight to the ford scene. Poor Liv, it turns out, endured being smacked in the face with branches repeatedly to get that one good branch-in-face shot. Then there’s the priceless sight of all the Nazgul standing around under bright blue and green umbrellas as it starts to rain. (At the Q&A, someone asked if any of the actors didn’t like being filmed backstage – a pointed question considering the near-absence of Sean Bean and Orlando Bloom in this documentary. Mr. Botes said no.)

too bad we can't see it  -_-  but it looks great.  Let's hope they'll release it someday.  The whole article can be found here
