Weren't they both in Sweat, too? I think I remember Rose being in a couple of episodes and I definitely remember Heath from it.
yes, Heath played one of the bicyclists, but I don't remember that Rose was in there as well.

I watched Candy today. I think it's one of Heath's best films, he and Abby Cornish both played their roles really great.

^ I think I won't be able to watch this film as well as '10 things I hate about you' in a while. I've watched them soo many times to cheer up and now it's problably just going to cause the opposite.

Here's "Happy everafter in your eyes" by Ben Harper which he wrote for Mathilda. I read that Heath asked him to write a lullaby for her.

And this is a video which was directed by Heath:

“You’re forced into, kind of, respecting yourself more,” he said. “You learn more about yourself through your child, I guess. I think you also look at death differently. It’s like a Catch-22: I feel good about dying now because I feel like I’m alive in her, you know, but at the same hand, you don’t want to die because you want to be around for the rest of her life.”
Just when I thought I'm done crying
It's heartbreaking, isn't it?  :(

Yes, I've felt the same... sorry for upsetting you, but I thought that you want to read it anyway because in my opinion this is the first article which really gives a good description of his career.
Totally agree with you about his eyes..

I still can't believe it.. even after having read all the articles and after having seen so many reports on TV it is still unbelievable.
I loved him so much in all his films, but I also associate the most with "10 things".. have you seen the specials of the DVD where he and Julia Stiles are sitting in the car? This is the scene where she actually wants to kiss him but he refuses, but in this outtake he grabs her all of a sudden and gives her a kiss..

Here's an article from NY Times which I think describes his great acting abilities pretty well: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/24/movies/2...&hp&oref=slogin

And this is what he recently said in an interview when he was asked whether having a child had changed his life:
“You’re forced into, kind of, respecting yourself more,” he said. “You learn more about yourself through your child, I guess. I think you also look at death differently. It’s like a Catch-22: I feel good about dying now because I feel like I’m alive in her, you know, but at the same hand, you don’t want to die because you want to be around for the rest of her life.”

I'll miss him.

I'm quite pissed off with TMZ at the moment, I know it's 'newsworthy' but they showed the paramedics moving his body from his apartment. In a body bag but still, who ever ever would want to see that, and what's it going to be like for Matilda if she finds that video on the internet one day when she's a teenager? I wish these people would think before switching on their cameras.
I totally agree with you, Arwen. This is really inconsiderate and disrepectful towards his family!
I just cannot realise that Heath is dead... Being paralyzed is pretty much the way I feel now, too, since my mom told me about the shocking article in the newspaper this morning.
It feels like I've lost a good friend.. ever since having seen him in "A Knight's Tale" for the first time I've been following his career and he played a huge part in my life for so many years. He was such an impressive inspiring and talented noble man and it is just unbelievable that he died at such a young age... He doesn't even have the chance to see Mathilda grow up..

God, I'm still so shocked and I have to cry everytime I try to realize what happened..his poor family! I never met him, but you get a very good picture of a person if you read/see many interviews and articles and watch the films. You can tell that Heath had always been very mature and generous...this is such a tragic loss.

My heart goes out to Heath's family.

Mata, what does this mean: "Ich liebe dich auf JEDEM fall!" I love you something.
I'm not Mata, but I also speak German so to answer your question:
"Ich liebe dich auf jeden Fall" means something like "I love you by all means" or "I definitely love you".

I also have some translation problems. I have to finish a thesis for university until tomorrow and there are several sentences of which I'm unsure.. so every help is appreciated! :D

1. "I (have) also used some further information from (or of?) the biography 'Die Gabe des Lachens' by John Miller."
I don't know, whether it is wrong to use "have" in this case and I'm not sure whether "if" or "from" the biography is the right description.

2. "He still participated in many different films up to a high age, but anyhow he preferred his work as an author."
Is it right to say "up to a high age"?
