Those moving picture thingys.....
« on: July 11, 2009, 01:20:48 PM »
GIF format aren't they? I dunno, I'm computer illiterate. But basically, I want to be able to get a video from Youtube, cut a small snippet from it, and make a moving image from it. As I said I'm computer illiterate so I have no idea how to go about doing this or what software you need for it etc. But if someone could just give me the gist of it and explained it I could probably give it a go. I know there are some computer whizzes on here.  :D

Oooo, I'd like to know that too, please! I don't have Photoshop so pref tips that don't involve that, lol.

I can only do it with Photoshop, so I guess I'm of no help here. :D

Mmh, either way, there has to be some sort of free, easy to use gif animator out there. *snuffles*

The first step in any case would be to download the YT video and make screencaps (I recommend the KM Player if you don't have that one yet - it let's you go forward step by step, to make caps for a fluent animation). :D

Ok I'm generally a retard for this sort of thing. So, this KM Player, where do I get it from, and then how do I download the Youtube videos using it?

And sadly no, I don't have photoshop. I only have paint shop pro.

Paint Shop pro also has something called "Animation Shop" - which is doing just that (animated gifs).

Is the Animation Shop a different application or does it come in the Paint Shop Pro package? If it's a seperate application where can I download it from? Also, how do I download videos from Youtube to use with the application? Sorry to be a pain in the ass....  :P
