Hugo Weaving Thread
« on: June 21, 2010, 05:43:37 PM »
I thought I'd start a thread for Hugo. I had a look through this section and could not find one anyhow. I thought also that seeing he is going to be in The Hobbit that it might be a good idea.  :)  I found this great picture of him. Don't know if it has been posted previously but ...

That picture you posted is so beautiful, robwootton, I think I've never seen it before

My favorite Hugo's character is Elrond, but he's great as Smith in Matrix too  :P

And I wish I was a camera sometimes, so I could take your picture with my mind. Put it in a frame for you to see how beautiful you really are to me ♥

^^^ lol   , I was reading a few things about Hugo and
Quote
Hugo Wallace Weaving was born on April 4, 1960 in Nigeria. The middle sibling of three, Hugo has an older brother Simon and a younger sister Anna who both also currently live and work in Australia.

I didn't know about Nigeria, that' nice

I also didn't realize he was in V For Vendetta, I'm actually too afraid of V to watch it...  :D

It's weird, I have a big crush on Elrond (shutup, I know :P) but not on Hugo or any of his other characters! Granted I only know 2 or 3 others. I like Hugo, I think he's adorable but I'm just not attracted to him at all, but as Elrond.... Must be my Elf fetish.

It doesn't mean much, I was born in Germany but it makes me no less English/Irish.

^Well yes, I'm pretty sure he considers himself Australian.
I just read his Bio and ironically his father was in the computer industry.
Quote
This was due to the cross-country demands of his father's job in the computer industry. Later, during his teens, Hugo spent three years in England in the seventies attending Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School in Bristol. There, he showed early promise in theater productions and also excelled at history, achieving an A in his O-level examination. He arrived permanently in Australia in 1976 and finished his education at Knox Grammar School, Sydney. He graduated from NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art), a college well-known for other alumni such as Mel Gibson and Geoffrey Rush, in 1981.

He was great in Priscilla too...
