To answer your second question, LoL...  ....I have no clue when it is, but most likely after the Council of Elrond.
I get it now! Arwen was like wearing the same dress!! When Arwen was leaving (before Galadriel came into the picture in the Leave Taking I think, that's where it is in the soundtrack  ) was that in TTT or right after the Fellowship left?

Of course they showed it in TTT  , but if it was in order would it be in the FOTR?

The movie was drenched in pathos, cheese and whatnot. The scene with Aragorn dead and Arwen mourning was completely unnecessary. The whole thing would be way easier to watch, if they would have made the love story a bit more lighthearted.

I don`t think its unnecesary.Elrond was trying to make Arwen to leave Middle Earth and everything related to it behind, because all the elves are leaving, using this thing with Aragorn`s death(I didn`t read all the books,I now reached chapter 4 from TTT :D,I`m talking from the movie)
Sorry for my english btw :s

True, the whole "vision thing" and Aragorn's death were necessary because it allows PJ to show little bits of the story of Aragorn and Arwen (you know, their child Eldarion, and later when Aragorn dies) Those are important parts of their story together and the story of Aragorn and Arwen is very important to Pj and his wife. Therefore, it's in the movies and I'm happy about it.

This is perhaps the most important part of the appendices, since it tells the story of Aragorn and Arwen that is missing in the book. Tolkien wrote that he left it out of LotR reluctantly, but felt that it would not have fit in there. Do you agree? If he had put it in, where could it have fit without slowing down the story too much?

First we read of Aragorn's background - he was such an important figure in the history of the Kingdoms that his grandmother urged his parents to marry early. Her foresight even gives Aragorn his Elvish name! "If these two wed now, hope may be born for our people."
