righto. Not completely sure if what i say would be right, so get other peoples advice too  :D

Nielsen Media Research rated that the age group of viewers ranges from 18 to 34. According to the New York Times, the creator and producer Josh Schwartz, himself a former screenwriter, wrote approximately 16 of the drafts of the first episode and rewrote the majority of the others.

ranges should be ranged seen as they're talking in the past tense

could the second bit be reworded as 'wrote approximately 16 drafts of the first episode'

Dont know if this would help much, but the rest seems good to me.
