THE HOBBIT in 2007?!
8/31/06, 10:26 pm EST - Xoanon
The BIG news has finally hit. A Ringer Spy who was recently in the New York offices of New Line Cinema has reported that they clearly saw 'The Hobbit' on the film schedule for 2007. Here's what the spy had to say:
"Please leave my email anonymous as I have some very exciting news to report. I was in New Line's NY offices to discuss upcoming projects when I clearly saw something very intriguing on a year planner. 'The Hobbit' was clearly marked on what looked like July 2007. I couldn't exactly take a moment to investigate the calendar with my audience in the room, but it definitely said 'The Hobbit'. Lets hope this is a PJ project!"

I do, I'm looking forward to seeing Smaug and the black arrow. But if they don't get Sir Ian to do Gandalf I'm not bloody watching it!! I doubt he'd do it now though, he seems to want to distance himself from Gandy these days -_- Understandable, but sad.

Exactly Arwen.. the only way it would be worthy of the other Tolkien films is to keep the original cast, director and studio...otherwise it'll just be a stupid Hollywood crapfest trying to squeeze some more money out of the diehard fans

I hope it comes true, but I would be dissapointed if they didn't have the same charactors as LoTR. Bilbo was 50 when he went off in the Hobbit . That's why Gandalf said "you haven't aged a day" in LoTR.
But if it's true and their there, "yeehaa".

I heard in an interview with Andy Serkis that MGM is interested in making the film. Andy also said that he would totally reprise the role of gollum if he was asked to!!! So let's hope this all works out :D
