that is SO exciting, thank you for that bit of information!

it would have been rather crap if there was another director/actor purely from a visual point of view, i would hate to have to compare the two (which you would do even if you didn't want to), rather than just simply seeing it and enjoying it.

well chuffed :D
don't be afraid of the dark ages darling,
the stage has been set and your carriage is waiting

Bit of a story ..
Weta conceptualizing Dwarves for the Hobbit The one Ring

A Mysterious riddle(added sun 3:41am\8:41 Local) has been left on The One Ring site supposedly, but more than likely, by the almost certain director Guillermo Del Torro..

A riddle for you all-

Half familiar, half unknown.

A thing it is, ¨It almost is-¨

This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.

The day of the moon will be
when all is revealed to thee
Questions will cease
Answers will please
We´ll learn of the Shire
and all you desire.

At ten minus Three.
Joining to be
Ten minus Eight
Add to the slate
of the two dozen princes
that die without winces.
And add to each day of
the week.
------------------If you can solve it go to The One Ring

I really like how ... I mean how can you not love Liv?  I can tell you right now that I can't see anyone else as Arwen but her.  The way she brought Arwen to life from the tale of Aragorn and Arwen in the appendix was so beautifully well done.

I wish we saw the beginnings of their relationship but I like, however, in the lotr films that Arwen was given a choice.   To stay in middle-earth or go to the undying lands but she chose the latter because well...how often does an elf experience all the emotions that the race of human beings do?  Emotions such as death, pain, mortality, grieving over a loss of a loved one.

Arwen, of all her people, wanted to come to terms with wanting to face the ages of the world, not by herself, but with the man she was deeply in love with, despite the immortality she had to give up.  And that the outcome of it all was to go through the emotions that she never had felt before - such as death, loss, grief and being able to linger on for some time before the breaking of the world, only to die of a broken heart and to rest at the very place where she pledged her troth to the future King of both Gondor and Arnor.

Its so sad when you think about it.  I must admit, even to this day, I'm always touched with the way Liv brought this elegance and sheer beauty of Arwen and how her story connects through Aragorn's.

Both Liv and Viggo did very well with the material they worked with.

As for the Hobbit, well Arwen as we all know it isn't in the book but there may be hope for her and Aragorn in film two.  Nothing to get overly excited about until we get more news.  As much as I'd like to see how they met, I don't want to give into the possibility that they will and then eventually won't thus me getting disappointed...

Its too early to tell what will become of film 2.   So for now.  Im just sitting back and letting Del Toro and PJ do all the thinking  and writing.  B)

'Then Aragorn was abashed, for he saw the elven-light in her eyes and the wisdom of many days; yet from that hour he loved Arwen Undomiel daughter of Elrond.

Then more than any king of Men he appeared, and seemed rather an Elf-lord from the Isles of the West.  And thus it was that Arwen first beheld him again after their long parting; and as he came walking towards her under the trees of Caras Galadhon laden with flowers of gold, her choice was made and her doom appointed.

What do you think of this man playing Bilbo? I'm pretty sure he's  mentioned as a possible. For those that don't know, his name is Martin Freeman.

He looks OK but one picture is not enough. Is he the guy from Love Actually?
